How would you feel when your boss asked you to do something but he deliberately did not give you a tool to make it happen. Publicly, he told everyone that you were delegated to do some work. But, privately he intimidated you not to do such work. Ini namanya cari muka dengan cara membenamkan muka bawahan. A monkey business, isn't it? You are thus likely to feel 'jengah.'
In that situation, you might have courage to tell your boss that he as the captain deliberately attempted to save his own life while letting the whole passengers drawn to die. Well ... who care, the boss might have whispered. He simply wanted to get promotion with any means. That's typical of Bento said Iwan Fals who popularized such song. "Bisnisku menjagal. Jagal apa saja. Yang penting aku menang. Persetan orang susah karena aku. Yang penting asik. Sekali lagi asik." Who care of others. He knows he may have accidentally slaughtered others for he needs to win whatever it takes.
Ada ya orang seperti ini. Ohhhhh ... bukan hanya ada. Buuaaannnnyak hoe! Di negeri ini begitulah kira-kira mental bos. Itu kan tipikal ABS (Asal Bos Senang). Kalau Bos senang, menginjak orang lain, kenapa tidak? Wah hancur deh negeri ini. Bukan hancur lagi ... nunggu kerem aja. Just wait to sink sooner or later.
I believe there are others like you who want to keep this negeri afloat but regrettably have no courage to prevent it from being sunk. You simply hope others will show the courage off. Thankfully, there are others who have courage and always active to keep this negeri not only afloat but keep it strong and sail. Not like most who are typical of yes man, they are those who persistently say no when it is no.
The feeling of jengah will slowly but surely fade away if you are courageous enough to genuinely say no and yes. But you will feel even jengah and jengah (exacerbating) if you are uncertain of no and yes.
